I usually use an older pocket metronome when I’m doing timing and thought it might be neat to have an option to bring up a small floating window that can be set at a beat and it plays a click sound in a loop, you could set the beats per minute (bpm) or to common beats like allegro, largo ect. Maybe type in a value manually and get a more specific beat, likewise you could push play or work while this is looping naturally. Wouldn’t imagine it being anything extensive, just a small thing that could be a useful addition!

Thanks a lot for your suggestion. It is interesting.
I could imagine that such a small metronome app already exists. It could easily sit on top or next to your Animation Paper window and click away.
I know you probably want it build into AP, but would it make a difference really? I am listening. 😉
Thanks,

It allows you to play a music track and tap out the beat and find how many frames between beats. For analyzing vocal tracks I use Papagayo which is a free track analyzer. And I recently installed Storyboarder (also free) which you can draw storyboards in your computer and output the frames in various formats including animated gif.
Let me dig up the metronome app and a way to upload it and the links for Papagayo and Storyboarder.
