Earlier I had posted a thread on how I installed Animation Paper on an Acer Spin 1 laptop with a touch screen and stylus. Unfortunately AP would not run on it. Now I recently acquired an Acer Spin 3 laptop with a larger touch screen and stylus. This system also has Windows 11 but a more powerful I5 processor. And I’m glad to report that Animation Paper seems to run well on this system. So now I have a portable animation studio with a larger 14″ screen, solid state harddrive and a 1920 by 1080 display. I’ll be showing off any animations I do with this setup.

Hi Herb, that is great news!

Did we ever find out why it wouldn’t run on your old Acer?

Can’t wait for you showing your work!

    Best,
    Niels

The Acer Spin 1 and Spin 3 are pretty similar except for the size of the touch screen (11″ vs 14″). The other main difference is the processor which may be a clue. The Spin 1 runs with a dual core Pentium processor whereas the Spin 3 uses a quad core I5. Both are running Windows 11 and have solid state drives.

Thanks Herb. I see no immediate reason for why it wouldn’t run on the Spin 1. Anyway… Glad it at least works on your new system.
