Like, does it just automatically and it’ll be updated the next time I launch the app, or does the option pop up to update while the app is open?

Or do I need to download it from the website?

With the current version (Alpha 4.2) – you have to download updates yourself. Later we will add an easy semi-automatic update possibility.

You can always check which one is the latest release and download it if you want here: https://animationpaper.com/download-pre-release/

And I will also send out an email to all who opted to get a notice when there’s a new version to download.
