activation key won't work?

hii so i installed the program and i tried to enter my activation key but whenever i do the window just closes and doesnt open the app. when i run the app again it greets me with the license prompt. i even tried to generate a new prompt and it didnt work and just closed the app

OK. Weird. That seems like an issue for Frederik! (programmer) 🙂

My guess is that the key actually works, but something else is causing AP to crash when it launches after the license check.

What email did you use to register for the activation key? If we get that, we can check our license server with it. If you don't want to post your email here, you can reply to your activation key email and say hi, then I get your email that way.

Anyway, I will let Frederik know about this - and we will get back to you.

It doesn't look like any of your activation keys have been registered as used on our server.
Which OS (and version) do you use? If windows, which version of AP did you try? Installer or portable?

hii sorry 4 the late response

im using windows 11 and i downloaded the latest installer version, i tried to have the activation key email sent to me multiple times but it didnt work, i even used other emails and got different keys and it still didnt work so i dont know what 2 do at this point

did anything come out of the investigation into this? i still can't seem to get into the application even after getting to resend the activation code

It seems to be something on your local system - we can't seem to reproduce anything like it here. What if you try with the latest version of Animation Paper (beta2) - maybe that will make a difference?

i tried with the portable version and only then it worked thankfully, i still don't know why the installer wouldn't work. thank you regardless 🙂

I'm happy the portable version works for you. But about the installer that didn't work: Did it display any error messages while installing?
