Light table - switching missing?
Quote from manimation on June 17, 2025, 12:17 pmHi Niels,
The Light Table has two settings that can be independently set up but when actually animating I can't find an option to switch between them without going back into setup.
Could you add a shortcut (assuming I haven't simply missed it) to allow quick and easy changing between the settings?
I appreciate that most animators would pick one or other options and stick with it but at the moment I have been switching back and forth multiple times and it breaks the flow each time I have to do so.
Also, I forgot to mention, the help link within AP opens to a none existent or deleted page.

Obviously, the second part now means the link to the help page needs updating. 🙂

Quote from Niels on June 17, 2025, 12:31 pmHi Manimation,
The two light table settings you are talking about is the A and B setting, right?
If you go to customize your Tool Bar or your Speed Dial, you will find the icon for switching between A and B in the list - it looks like this:
Just drag this icon into your Tool Bar or Speed Dial and you will have it handy at all times.
Also you can use the keyboard shortcut: Shift Alt Space - if you are on PC - and Shift Option Space if on Mac. Check out more shortcuts here: https://animationpaper.com/help/keyboard-shortcuts-for-windows-and-linux/
I don't understand that the help link doesn't work, which one is it? - Anyway, they all seem to work fine here. Do you have the latest version of Animation Paper (the beta1)?
Best,
Niels

Quote from manimation on June 17, 2025, 12:48 pmMy mistake, I didn't realise that the shortcut on my desktop toolbar was still linked to A7 not B1 (which correctly goes to the video tutorials page).
The drawback with being in Linux is that I have to remember to create the new link every time I use a new appimage version, unlike Windows, which if I remember correctly, generates a new icon each time.
