Where are the update notes?
Quote from foolish on May 16, 2025, 7:15 amI'm not sure exactly where to post this question, but here seems to be the best option.
Where can the update notes for the beta version be found? The website has been updated so i am not sure if it is in a different place, or if it has been removed completely.
Additionally, is there any timeline for the updated linux version?
Thanks!

Quote from Niels on May 16, 2025, 8:14 amThanks a lot for your question I totally understand 🙂 - with the new website I wanted to keep it very to the point and not have too much bla-bla 😀 We can keep the chatter to this forum. We'll see if a news/blog section, as we had before, is needed at some point, but for now we are going without it.
Also I am not able to present a list of clear features, because for the beta we have been focused on improvements, optimizations and updating internal software to make it work and feel better, be more compatible and future proof. But also small updates like normalizing the audio waveform visually, making the pencil better, easy installation and activation in bulk for studios and educational institutions, improve speed and quality of exporting, making AP better shift between speakers, headphones, etc - and so on. It is kind of a boring update, but super important and necessary.
I haven't yet announced the beta on social media, we will do that of course, but with the new website (and new server-provider), we want to make sure everything works before letting in the masses 😉 But I think we are about ready now, so later today maybe...
The Linux version we are still working on, but we should be able to release it in a week or so. Very soon at least.
I think the only actual "feature" (very small though) I can mention is "Quick Zoom". It is an addition to all the other ways of zooming in, but can be very effective in certain situations, where you, while drawing, want to zoom in for drawing a quick detail and then get back out and continue. Tap Z, draw, tap Z again. That's it. 🙂
We plan to release one more batch of optimizations in maybe a month or so, calling it beta 2. After that we will hunt for the last remaining bugs and fix anything you the users have been reporting - and then we can at last call it the finished v5.0 and let everybody buy their own license. And THEN! we begin working on loads of new features for 5.1, 5.2 and 6.0! This will be super exciting!
