Hi, thanks for the help. I tried using full work area feature on the tablet, the menus did not show up long enough and went back to not showing at all. I have a XP pen Deco mini 7 but came across the same issue.
August 27, 2024 at 9:02 pm #7012NielsKeymasterOK, thanks a lot Jalenr11. So it seems we haven’t found the right solution yet…
August 28, 2024 at 10:26 am #7015Marc CaldwellParticipantHi, I tried to simulate the AP “menu not showing up long enough” problem, using my XP-Pen. If, using the stylus, I simply tap on any AP menu item, it won’t drop down (show up). That’s normal. You must click the button found on the side of the stylus (as in/if left-click mouse) get get the menus to drop down. I assume the menu items highlight when running the stylus over them. I hope that helps.
August 28, 2024 at 11:11 am #7016NielsKeymasterThanks a lot Marc. I’m sorry I can’t just check this my self.
Jalenr11, following Marc’s comment, does that help you?
September 23, 2024 at 9:29 am #7121Eric DuchesnesParticipantHi Niels !.. it’s been a while !.. I’ve got the same problem : The Menu seems to not recognize that my pencil want to access with a simple clic : I press the pencil tip on it … but nothing happens !… The only way to reach the Menu details is with my mouse… I ‘m using a wacom cintiq pro 24 with the latest driver from wacom, Nvidia, running Windows 10 Pro on a Asus laptop ( intel i7 ). I hope you’ll soon find the solution !.. Have a good day !..
September 23, 2024 at 11:02 am #7122Eric DuchesnesParticipantHi Niels !.. I’m back… may be the following elements will help you : The problem is not that the software does not recognize that the pencil is hovering the menu because the FACT is that the label Menu changes to a blue background, for example ” Window ” , ” Pick-Up ” etc … So what I am thinking about is to add the instruction to roll down the choice offered in this particular Item : for ” Window ” there is ” Reference Display “, ” Show Toolbar “, ” Place Toolbar at opposite side “, and so on … Because the thing is : when the software actually detects the pen tip howering for example Window I can slide to get Pick-Up, Xsheet, Light Table : no problem the Menu are rolling down all the options for their respective ” Own Menu “. THE PROBLEM comes from the obligation to CLICK LEFT on the Mouse to Roll down the Options of the ” Menu ” : When the software detects the click on the title of the Menu, the software shoud immediatly open the Options relative to this Menu : for example ” Pick-Up ” will show Lasso, Cutter. I hope this will help !.. Have a good day !.. ( with the mouse I MUST ” Click Left ” to open every Menu choice, hovering over Pick-up or something else is not sufficient, I must ” Click Left ” to choose an option ). May be there is an instruction as ” On Mouse or Pen-Tip Hovering, show Options from ” Menu “… I hope this helps !.. Bye !..

October 10, 2024 at 12:15 am #7190Andy LathamParticipantHi Niels!
I just wanted to report that I also have this problem. I’m on Windows 11, with a Wacom One screen tablet. I have tried turning Windows Ink off and on, and tried playing around with the proportions options (not that that does much on a screen tablet), but nothing fixes the problem. The menu items (File, Edit, Draw, etc) highlight when I hover over them with my stylus, but nothing happens when I press them. Everything else works fine. I can press toolbar buttons, draw, and minimize, maximize and close the program with the standard Windows buttons at the top right.
October 10, 2024 at 6:46 am #7193NielsKeymasterHi Andy. Because you and so many others are reporting this, it means a lot of people must experience this issue. It has our attention. Thank you!
October 10, 2024 at 10:05 am #7203Marc CaldwellParticipantHi all,
With the stylus pen, you must LEFT CLICK on the menu, not just hover or press on it. The same goes with using a mouse.
October 10, 2024 at 2:27 pm #7208Andy LathamParticipantHi Marc, pressing on it with the stylus IS left-clicking.
October 10, 2024 at 4:16 pm #7209Marc CaldwellParticipantHi Andy,
Yes, that is correct. And that’s how my stylus (for XP-Pen) works on Word, Firefox, etc. But with AP I need to apply a kind of double-click, it seems — pressing on the menu using the stylus, and then left clicking.October 10, 2024 at 4:21 pm #7210Andy LathamParticipantThat doesn’t work for me. If I assign “left click” to the side button on my stylus and try using that, nothing happens still.
