Hi!
First of all, just want to say I am loving this software, made me jump back into animation after 20 years.
Wanted to ask if it’s already possible in this alpha version to import video files and break them into frames into a layer for rotoscoping and if so what kind of files?
I want to import a small 800k mp4 file, I go to File>Import(Frames,Movie Clip or Audio) but when I go the folder it doesn’t even recognise the mp4 files in there.

Hi Jorge – excited that Animation Paper made you want to go back into animation after such a long break! That’s great. And thanks for your nice words!

It is possible to import for rotoscoping – but in alpha 2 it only takes png files. So you have to have your video as a sequence of png files to make it work.

Later in this alpha period we will add support for movie formats, like mp4.
