Animation Paper "eating" frames?
Quote from xrockett on February 12, 2026, 4:16 pmImage relevant, but the error I'm running into is that the highest editable frame is the 3rd frame in order. I need to edit my background frame and I can't because that frame is my first, is this a known issue? What do I do about this?
and yes the scrollbar is at the absolute top.
Also important to note, this is for a graded assignment.

Thanks for your post. I'm very happy you included the screenshot! Because I see the problem is that you must have accidentally dragged the start of the Range marker two frames to the right, meaning that you now work within a range that begins on frame 3. You can see this at the very bottom left corner.
So to fix this, you just hit Ctrl Home (this is the shortcut for "Reset Range-Start to first frame"). Alternatively, you drag the left edge of the Range bar all the way to the left. Now you will see all of your animation, i.e. have frame 1 and 2 back in view 😉
Good luck with your assignment!
Thanks,
Niels
