AnimationPaper 5.1 ETA?!?!
Hey Niels,
It’s been awhile since we’ve last talked, how are things? Hope everything is well. My reason for this topic is just an ETA update on the 5.1(coloring) release! I’m about to be working on a short and just needed to know if I should export my AP to Harmony for ink and paint, or wait it out? The main reason I ask is because paint, particularly shading, varies from software to software, and when going between multiple applications, the eye appeal can take a drastic hit from this! Thanks for your time and effort!

Good to hear from you! Very exciting to hear about this short of yours!
Yeah, time flies (unfortunately). Getting animation software finished turns out to be even harder than expected. 😉 Not hard as in difficult, but everything just takes such a damn long time. It's a rollercoaster. However, we are actually finishing things and 5.0 is definitely close.
5.1 is of course next, but I'm sorry, I can't give you any solid ETA. Our plans, especially on the business side of things are going through some important changes right now, so it will depend on how we end up strengthening our efforts. But I want to give you just something, some rough ballpark - I'll say 12 months. It could potentially go much faster, but as indicated, it depends on factors not carved in stone just yet. Even though I am personally turning increasingly impatient, everything is flowing and we are very excited about being able to release our product for all of you waiting! Also anxious to start earning a bit of money for our company. 😉
