Customizable Shortcuts?
Quote from kuyathepeach on October 25, 2025, 6:19 pmHi again!
Would it be possible to implement customizable shortcuts in the future?
I like using B for the last pen used, but it switches automatically to brush since that's the shortcut.
Currently I use autohotkey shortcut to change B to P to keep the pencil tool but it's kind of a workaround. Thanks!

Quote from Niels on October 25, 2025, 7:02 pmYeah, customizable shortcuts is on our todo list and in the upper part! 🙂 So it will be part of one of the free upgrades from v5.0 (v5.0 is the one we are finishing now).
Did you know that D switches to your latest used drawing tool and E switches to latest eraser? I know it's not what you are asking for, but maybe it can help you a bit?
Thanks,
Niels

Alright, thanks for the quick reply! 🙂

Actually there's also the . (period) shortcut. It simply toggles between drawing and erasing (it takes the latest used drawing and erasing tools). This might be even better for you. 🙂
And by the way - holding D brings up the Drawing tools settings box right by your cursor. Same with holding E for Erasing tools settings.
I can also recommend studying this general overview: https://animationpaper.com/help/overview/
Getting to know more shortcuts is also valuable - reading through this also reveals features you might not know about: https://animationpaper.com/help/keyboard-shortcuts-for-windows-and-linux/
Anyway, good luck with getting more familiar with AP!
