Question about the paid release

I was just wondering that when the paid release comes out, would I be able to keep my free beta version of the software??

If I'm not mistaken the beta version expires after a few months and will cease to work.

Hi Snailthecat152 - manimation is correct.

You will be able to get the free trial, that will work fully, but only for 2 weeks. If you decide to buy, it will only be $79 usd for a lifetime license (no subscription).

Best,
Niels

Hi Niels,
I really appreciate Animation Paper, and the free beta has helped many artists me especially learn the software. Would you consider leaving the beta version available permanently as a legacy unsupported free edition, even without updates or support, instead of disabling it entirely? That would help students and indie animators who may not yet afford the paid version and just want to have the creative experience the software is amazing honestly.

We can't do that, because the last beta will be virtually identical to the finished paid version. All alpha and beta versions will stop working a few months after the final is available.

However we will have a free trial (that will work fully for 2 weeks) as well as an educational license (we haven't settled on the exact price tag of the educational license yet, but it will be very affordable. This will be for schools and their students.)

Also I think we have priced Animation Paper very fairly at the introduction price of $79 usd, which is for life. No subscription. My hope is that most people will be able to afford this.
