Judging from this thread, this pressure loss happens a lot (at least for you guys). So of course we must look into this. The sad thing is that we can’t seem to replicate it here. We need to have it happen here to fix it. We’ll try to create the same environment as you people are having. Any additional info you could imagine being relevant please supply here to help us. Thank you!

I am on the latest OS.
It is hard to say what is happening. Works then doesn’t work.
The only thing that is recurrent is when leaving and coming back to AP.
I will try to catch the whole process.

I guess I’m the outlier here as I try to get this to work with Sidecar and an iPad Pro 3rd gen with Apple Pencil 2nd gen, connected to an iMac, all running the latest software. The reason I would’ve liked it to work with this set up, is because that is what I’m using in my daily work as an editorial cartoonist and illustrator, so it would’ve been convenient if AP would work with it as well. And it works, except for the pen pressure.

    Hi Niels,

Is there a way to send you email? I want to send you a video (for your perusal) re: losing pen pressure when 1.) Opening AP; and 2) leaving AP, and switching to another software, apps or browser, then going back to AP. But the screen recording I made was just about when opening AP. Although the Add/Insert Blank drawing is still the solution for me in getting back the pen pressure to work.

    I’m running Windows 10 Home
I have a Samsung Notebook 9 Pro 15 Tablet PC
It is pen-enabled and the pen has over 4,096 levels of pressure.

    After downloading APaper,
    I installed it.
    Secured a Key online.
    Entered said key.
    Ran program.
Tried all three drawing tools with no pressure variance whatsoever.
Adjusted all 3 pens via there individual settings and set the variable ranges at all different levels.
    Still No line variation.

    Closed program.
Checked Windows Pen and Ink settings. (Really nothing much to adjust)
    All ok.
    Opened APaper again.
No effect on Line variation in AP.

    Wintab settings are OK.
No effect on drawing tools in AP.

No other drawing program that I have has these issues.
Clip Studio Paint Pro, Autodesk Sketchbook, Sketchable, Mischief all work fine with perfect pen pressure variation.
