KeymasterHi Luke, thank you! I want to confirm this on our computers, but we are away on vacation. It certainly sounds like some kind of bug. The correct behaviour is that is works like you say with the mouse too.
Thanks for your clear explanation! Weβll take a look and fix it when we are back.

KeymasterSorry, no. We might do tutorials and guides in writing for the final version, but for the alpha versions we donβt have that Iβm afraid.
You might get value from looking at the various alpha release blog posts, because new stuff is described there for each release. Also check out the keyboard shortcuts descriptions.

KeymasterAs far as I know, Animation Paper does not run on Chromebook. I do not think any Linux apps will just install and run on ChromeOS. Have you ever succeeded in installing regular Linux software on your Chromebook?

KeymasterHi Alan,
Thanks for your suggestion! I donβt think I get it though π
Sorry, would you mind rephrasing your explanation? I need to understand it fully.
Thanks,

KeymasterYou should be able to just move it to the display you want to have it on. You may need to exit the full screen mode to get to the window and then just drag the window to the right display. It will remember the placement next time you open it.
If I remember correctly you can double click inside the full screen view to make it a window. Sorry I am not able to verify this – I am on vacation and only on my phone right now. π
Best, Niels

KeymasterOK, it’s not that the backlight doesn’t work. But I can’t decide if there’s a specific part/algorithm of what I intended that is flawed or not. I need to look into the details some more.
Your green layer, called “2”, has this fully opaque area at the bottom 1/4 of the frame. Also your layer opacity is set to 100%. This is why it doesn’t allow what you draw in that part of the frame to be visible. If you either turn that layer off or just lower the opacity (temporarily), you can see your drawings on top through the backlight.
This is an interesting special case. I’ll dive deeper into it soon.
Thanks,

KeymasterI haven’t received it. Strange. I checked my spam folder as well. Did you use niels@animationpaper.com?

KeymasterHi Joules!
First of all! Very creative use of the limited layer colours! π I had to look twice to get the brown tree trunks π
Would you mind emailing your .ap file to me, so I can better investigate what the problem might be? Maybe you found a bug, that we need to fix! My email address is the one you got your activation key from. Thanks very much!

June 1, 2022 at 5:52 pm #4776Niels
KeymasterOK, thanks for this DD!
Can you tell me a little what you did before it happened? And was it going increasingly slower over time or did it happen suddenly – so it was fast at one undo and then suddenly slow at the next? What was it you were trying to undo?
Thanks for helping out!
