In reply to: Feature Request: Draw within Lasso Area + AI Frame Interpolation Integration.
August 29, 2021 at 7:42 pm #3901NielsKeymasterOK, I see. Thanks for explaining. So it is a masking technique, which I know many artists use all the time. But I am not sure how relevant it would be for the animator (?).

August 28, 2021 at 7:07 pm #3898NielsKeymasterThanks for your suggestions!
If I’m not asking for too much of your time, could you explain a bit more on how the draw-within-lasso-area benefits? I mean, I do understand how it should work technically, but I am interested in how it could help you saving time, giving cleaner lines, etc?
AI is so exciting right now. It would be amazing to build in all kinds of AI enhanced features. And actually we are planning to do just that in the near future. Including looking into automatic inbetweening, if it can be done well.
Cheers,

August 24, 2021 at 9:19 pm #3892NielsKeymasterHi there!
Thanks for bringing up this important topic. At the moment, unfortunately we do not have any automatic method for setting up 100+ licenses. This is on our todo-list though.
Also important to know: If you use the same activation key for multiple installs, Animation Paper will think it has been moved each time the latest install is run. Therefore the previous installs will ask you for a key again next time they are run. You can keep pasting in the same key, but definitely not an ideal situation. (Normally you only submit the activation key once).
Let me see if I can come up with some kind of helpful solution to your current challenge. I’ll get back to you asap.
Thanks,

August 20, 2021 at 8:29 pm #3890NielsKeymasterHi again Dave,
We just did an Alpha 4.1 release! Check it out: https://animationpaper.com/2021/08/20/quick-alpha-4-1-update/

August 16, 2021 at 10:32 pm #3879NielsKeymasterHi Mamarag,
Was it slow from the very beginning – or did it become slow after you used the lasso tool a lot?
If you (over) used the lasso, then please try Animation Paper again with a fresh new scene. Don’t load your slow scene. Just try it again without using the lasso and see how it goes. Please let me know.
Thanks,

August 15, 2021 at 10:02 pm #3874NielsKeymasterOK, thanks for the further info. And your hardware? What speed processor and what graphics card do you have? And do you draw using a Wacom?
I see what you mean by the straight line for the first part of the curve.
Please let me know about your hardware too (if the info is easy enough to dig up). Then I can investigate. Thanks!

August 15, 2021 at 10:22 am #3872NielsKeymasterHi Isaac,
I am not sure what is causing this.
Can you let me know what hardware and OS you are using?
If you could take a screenshot that shows the problem, that would be very helpful too.
Thanks,

August 11, 2021 at 1:04 pm #3869NielsKeymasterHi again Selena,
I don’t have an explanation for the problems you are experiencing. We just did this portable version – could I get you to try that?
Click “Animation Paper Portable Zip” below the large PC download button here: https://animationpaper.com/download-pre-release/
I hope that works better. Let me know.
Cheers,

August 11, 2021 at 12:55 pm #3868NielsKeymasterSure – actually I just updated the download page to now include the portable version: https://animationpaper.com/download-pre-release/
For the upcoming releases we will keep the same download options.

August 11, 2021 at 10:52 am #3865NielsKeymasterThanks for going through this trouble Selena.
Let me talk to my programmer about this and get back to you!
Thanks again,

August 10, 2021 at 11:44 pm #3863NielsKeymasterAll the paint (coloring) functionality is disabled – because it hasn’t been implemented yet. It is just there to let people know what is coming up in the next alpha releases.
We have advanced stabilisation build in. But it hasn’t got any options or adjustment possibilities. It just works subtly on every stroke you make.
