KeymasterHi Augusto,
Unfortunately it is not possible in the current alpha release. It is on our todo-list though.
Right now you have to move each drawing one by one. If you put in some kind of mark (a dot somewhere to the side of the canvas) you can use that to aim and place every drawing precisely. To place the same dot on all you drawings in a layer, pick it up with the lasso, select all drawings in the layer in the x-sheet – and stamp it. I hope this helps you just a little, even though I know it is not exactly ideal right now π

KeymasterYou can easily select all your drawings and set exposure to them all to 2’s or 3’s, by going to the menu Edit -> Add Clone after each selected Drawing.

KeymasterHi Ezekiel,
There’s something wrong if it takes 20 minutes to save. That is definitely not normal. I suspect the overuse-of-lasso-problem, which makes the file explode (in size) if you keep using the lasso and ignoring the warning.
We do in fact have autosave done by now. Also we have finalised an great solution for the oversuse-of-lasso-problem. This is included in our next release (Alpha 8).
To clean up your file now, I recommend sticking to what the warning suggests. More about it here: https://animationpaper.com/forums/topic/software-consistently-crashing/
Thanks,

KeymasterYou’re right – you can’t change the number of frames using that input after the scene has been created. But you can quite easily change the number frames by dragging down on the last frame (in the X-Sheet) – adding clones. Or you can use the keyboard shortcut ‘ (apostrophe) – just hold it down to add a lot of frames quickly.

KeymasterThanks a lot Augusto!
You can actually set the number of initial frames when doing a New Scene:

KeymasterHi Essey, thanks for asking π
It was supposed to have been released months ago. As we are working on new additions, we also try to fix the bugs found in the previous Alpha version. We have one really annoying bug, that we can’t seem to get rid of. It’s a freeze that happens to only a few people while exporting png or jpg files. We want to have this fixed before we release Alpha 8. So it is hard to set a date.
New stuff is so far this:
Drop vector data option (to not have the lasso slowness problem. Huge!)
Autosave
Scale option for movie clip export (export in, say, double resolution with perfectly crisp lines)
Save and use pen settings
Touch gestures on touch screen computers
Reset rotate view with double click
Stamp floating selection in all selected drawings
Reverse sequence
Many bugfixes and smaller improvementsIf you want me to explain some of the above – feel free to ask. (But maybe you can tell already what they are about).

KeymasterYes, these are same you get right away when you open Animation Paper: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IO7sxaZonhA&list=PLOIsjJw30Ol-KuYyfShg3qWOHENVWbf3V
We will be making completely new tutorial videos as soon as we finish Animation Paper 5.0 – to cover every feature and trick. The current tutorials are a bit old by now – covering only Alpha 1, but still it gives you a nice overview for now.
For information on all the features we have done since these videos (Alpha 1) I recommend you check out my blog posts here on this site regarding the added features for each Alpha release we did up until now (Alpha 7).
Happy animating!

KeymasterHi!
It seems you by accident used a wrong email – including the one you used here above.
Isn’t it supposed to be mentorx96@gmail.com?
You have tried registering with mentorex96@gmail.com, which is bouncing with an error saying the email doesn’t exist.
Try again π

KeymasterHi Nikos! For some obscure reason your post only today popped up in my system. So I just now approved it and is answering. Super sorry that you had to wait this long.
Thanks so much for showing your stuff! It looks great and I like your music too! YOU guys rock! π
To answer your questions here goes: We plan to do camera movement (panning/zooming) at some point in one of the next major updates, so this will come! Also actual colouring and paint will be implemented. This is already for the first free update (v5.1) after the one we work on right now (v5.0). The colors you so masterfully have utilised in the current version, is mostly for “colorcoding” the layers – to visually make you set them apart while working. Actual colouring will come soon!
About the cursor not being visible enough – have you tried turning off the “Faint Cursor” option in the Draw menu? I hope this will make it visible enough also on the dark backgrounds. Let me know.
Thanks again for your kind words! Good luck with your further endeavours!
Best,
NielsNiels
KeymasterIt’s because the paint and colouring tools are not yet implemented. They appear in the menu (greyed out) to show what is coming later. Sorry for the confusion.
We will probably just remove the menu altogether until we have the features ready.

KeymasterYou’re most welcome! Please let me know how it goes. It should take away the problem completely – if you delete all the problematic drawings (after tracing).

KeymasterHi Gabriel,
Thanks for letting me know. This is a well known issue – not that it crashes, but that it turns increasingly slow the more you lasso something, stamp it and lasso it again, and so on. If you use the lasso/cutter many times on the same drawing, the data builds up and it ends up slowing down and taking up a lot of memory. You must hav gotten a warning about this – a window pops up and explains this and how to remedy it. I hope you got that warning?
In the next version we are going to release (Alpha 8) we have done much more to help people in your situation. You will then be able to “collapse” the data and therefore get everything running a full speed again.
Here’s how the warning looks in our current internal version. This might be subject to change, but basically, this is it:
Right now, with your current version (Alpha 7), I would trace your problematic drawings/frames on to new blank frames and delete the old ones. Then you’ll see you filesize go way down and your lasso work a full speed again.
When we release Alpha 8, make sure to download that, to get the Collapse button you see above. π
I hope this helps you.
Best,
Niels
