    Hi there. Thanks for this.

Right now you can shift click multiple drawings in the x-sheet. Click the first, then shift click the last. The sequence of drawings are now inverted to highlight. Now you can clear them all or copy/paste them elsewhere in your x-sheet.

But also we have features coming up soon in following alphas. This is doing things in multiple drawings using a (lassoed) selection. And right clicking inside the x-sheet to get options is coming soon too.

We already do have a clever way of stabilising the lines when drawing. It’s not too intrusive but works very well. Also respects hard angles even though is makes curves much smoother. This is enabled and working now for all drawing. You might have noticed it subconsciously.

Of course adding Lazy Nazumi, will alter the way AP works, so I’m not sure how it feels to draw in AP then. The point was that is wasn’t necessary. But always up to what you are used to of course.

OK, I see what you mean. It’s about your immediate control over the lines your are drawing. So getting rid of the AA as an easy post process wouldn’t work even though it would have the exact same look.

I’ll see what it takes to do. Maybe we could do an option switch when launching Animation Paper or something to keep it hidden for the regular user. I’m not promising anything at this point though 🙂

Sure. For both of your points the solution will be to just ged rid or add the appropriate icon to your interface. When this becomes available in one of the following alpha updates. Thanks.

Those labels are regular “tool tips”. They are supposed to only show if you keep your pointer still on top of an icon for a few seconds. So it seems to me to work as intended. It’s easier to hold it completely still using the mouse.

Yes, Cher is right. Changing the position of the X-Sheet to the opposite side, swaps the Tool Bar as well. It’s always opposite the X-sheet.

Thanks for this Christopher. Others have mentioned this. Fixing this is on our todo.

I see Ilias. I do understand that for some uses you could have a need for being able to manipulate on a precise pixel by pixel level. Not that Animation Paper isn’t precise, but you know what I mean. 🙂 However, I’m not sure that no anti aliasing is the solution. I mean, it wouldn’t be enough I think. If we had no anti aliasing, then new needs would come up right away, you would quickly wish you had that pixel by pixel pixel-art drawing/clicking. I’m sorry, but I just don’t think Animation Paper is the right software to turn into a pixel-art animation tool.

This is my immediate thoughts. Let me know if you think I’m wrong. I am listening.

It is not that switching off AA is hard to do in our software. It’s not. But I want to minimize the number of speciality features and technical clutter. Animation Paper is ment to be cleverly digital, but “analogue” in its feel. No AA is going against that. Do you see what I mean?

I totally follow you Dave. We need this. I do think the functionality we already have for holding E (and holding D) is good and fits Animation Paper as it is. But we could do this temporary change to an eraser using another key instead.

Actually, the three erasers and the three drawing tools are on keys 1,2,3,4,5,6. We could make them work as you say. So hitting, say 2, changes the tool to rubber eraser. But holding 2 changes it temporarily to rubber eraser and springs back to the tool you had before when you release the 2 key. All 1 – 6 could work perfectly this way.

What do you think about that?

You are not supposed to change the order in Slide Mode – only adjust timing without ruining timing further down the timeline.

To move a drawing, or drawings, use cut/paste (Ctrl X / Ctrl V). Holding Shift you can select a sequence of drawings, and cut/copy/paste that as well.

I had this feature planned so you could have several scenes/clips open at the same time – to be able to check continuity and such. This feature is still on our todo list but according to our plan will have to wait for a future version (so much to do!) 🙂

Yes, the challenge is to make it highly functional and efficient for the pro animator/studio, but at the same time keep it so simple and easy to understand that the beginner can use it too.

Would be great to chat, but I am super busy at the moment. No time, sorry 🙂
