In reply to: Animation Paper doesn’t run in Windows 10
April 19, 2020 at 11:48 am #2519NielsKeymasterI hope we can find a solution somehow afterall. We might be able to do a special part of the software that does the needed 1D stuff with the CPU instead of the GPU. This would be an internal automatic feature, so it would work for people in your situation without the need for setting anything up. That’s my hope anyways. It might happen in a following alpha…

April 19, 2020 at 9:14 am #2515NielsKeymasterOK, Frederik says it is because of the 1D issue. We are using the GPU for various things including rendering of the drawn lines. We utilise 1D textures (one dimensional. As opposed to 2D or 3D.) Apparently your graphics card do not allow or support that.
I’m sorry, I do not think there is much we can do about that.
In reply to: Circle/ rectangle tool?
April 19, 2020 at 8:51 am #2514NielsKeymasterGlad you like it! 🙂 And thanks.
Circle and rectangle are examples of tools I have not wanted to add to Animation Paper – because of simplicity and the “analogue” / nontechnical / hand drawn style of it. But I am listening. So maybe at some point in a future release it will make sense.
In reply to: Exports – What are you using to combine frames?
April 18, 2020 at 9:47 pm #2512NielsKeymasterHi Patrick, you can use the option “Simple Unbroken Sequence (clone info lost)” to do exactly that.
Or you could just use “Exclude Clones” which skips the clones – i.e. makes “holes” in the numbered sequence. Some software will then fill the holes in with copies (like making the clones again). This is good for keeping track of what to color. No need to color the same drawing many times, just because it is repeated, if you see what I mean.

In reply to: Animation Paper doesn’t run in Windows 10
April 17, 2020 at 8:10 pm #2496NielsKeymasterHi Ganbold, Animation Paper should run on most newer systems. I don’t think it is your hardware that is to blame for the strange thing that happens on your son’s Win10. Also reusing the key is not the problem.
What I am noticing is that Animation Paper apparently has approved your key, but never shows the main Animation Paper window for some weird reason. Do you have an extra monitor connected? Could it be that Animation Paper opens up on another desktop or on a disabled monitor or something. Somewhere our of view?
Is it running if you check in Task Manager?

April 16, 2020 at 12:33 pm #2484NielsKeymasterYes, that’s exactly right Randall! The best way to copy a drawing, so you can alter it, is to clone it and hit O. No need to use the lasso for that.

April 14, 2020 at 3:44 pm #2463NielsKeymasterThank you very much Randall! And thanks for showing your animation.
Yeah, the iPad version will be awesome. Can’t wait my self. 😉 Thanks for letting me know about the lasso-thing.

April 14, 2020 at 1:29 pm #2459NielsKeymasterHehe cool! 🙂 Yeah, the colors are to distinguish between each layer. But this can be use creatively as you did 🙂 Custom colors as well as the whole painting/coloring part of Animation Paper are coming during this alpha stage as well. Thanks for showing!

April 14, 2020 at 12:25 pm #2456NielsKeymasterOK, normally the easiest way to get to the shortcuts list is from the Help menu inside Animation Paper.
In reply to: Crop/Canvas Size and more
April 14, 2020 at 12:23 pm #2455NielsKeymasterNo, it is sort of hidden. Only way to see it is by, what you already do, hitting A (or you could lasso the area outside). Then you can move it into frame if needed.
