Hi Purty64, yes, normally you would have pressure sensitivity. Are you running the latest release (Alpha 3)? Did you do the thing described in my email moving away the qt.conf file? This should hopefully do the trick.

The eraser and zooming by pinching are not supported yet, but this is on our todo and will come soon in one of the next alpha releases.

Please let me know if the qt.conf thing makes pressure work?

    Cheers,
    Niels

Thanks Chelsea! Sure, autosave would be good. It’s on our list.

However, we can not have it crashing! No matter how large a scene becomes. No crashes! 😉

So, would you be able to reproduce this crash? I mean, what can I do to provoke it?

    Cheers,
    Niels

Actually this is already in the latest version. You just hold down Shift when stamping – then it keeps the selection floating. You can also stamp with the Return key, and therefore use Shift Return to keep it.

Also after you lost your floating selection, you can get the latest one back, by hitting Shift Esc.

OK, thanks for trying that out for me Fabian!

Good thing that we are in alpha. Finding all these bugs/problems – that we don’t get our selves on our own test systems, is exactly the reason to have it tested by many people like we are now. We will look into this and get it fixed. Thank you!

    Best,

    Oh, thanks Fabian.

Could I get you to try uninstalling the old version first, and then install the new one again?

OK, thanks Vera! Sorry that you had to explain it. 😉 It’s clear now. 🙂

Would you mind sending me the .ap file? That would help us a lot finding this bug. You can get my email address in the email where you got your activation key.

    Thanks a lot,
    Niels

    Hi Vera,

I don’t think I understand. Isn’t the end of the song at 2147? If that is the case, then it is natural that there’s nothing to play after that point. The song isn’t any longer. Please explain it again, if I am misunderstanding something?

    Cheers,
    Niels

Sorry Mario. We haven’t been able to find the problem yet. Everything works perfectly on all our test computers. Of course we need to fix this problem anyway. All I’m saying is – it’s not easy. Hopefully we will have it fixed for alpha 4.

That’s good information Todd! Thank you!

Funny that double clicking works. Well, we’ll look into this very soon!

To play you can also just hit space! That’s the easiest way I think.

    Cheers,
    Niels

    Hi Ghost King!

Thanks for writing! Yes, of course the .ap file is not good for exchanging your work with other people (who don’t use Animation Paper) or for other software. The .ap file format is optimal way to save and load for AP.

To export you will of course be able to export in mp4 and mov – this is one of the things still missing before AP is finished – we are working on it, and it will come soon in one of the next alpha releases.

For now, you can export as a sequence of png’s – and then use some other software to convert them to a movie file. Plenty to chose from, like various compositing software, including free ones.

    Best,
    Niels
