April 4, 2020 at 7:22 pm #1995NielsKeymasterOK, thanks for reporting. We will have to get a Surface Pro to test on for sure!

April 4, 2020 at 6:59 pm #1991NielsKeymasterI understand. I chose to make that kind of functionality with a Hue Shift of the layer color instead of two separate colors. I thought that worked better. Would you agree?

April 4, 2020 at 6:52 pm #1986NielsKeymasterJansen, we did get Animation Paper certified by Microsoft, but this will still happen for a while, since Animation Paper is brand new software and as such not known to Microsoft. Just go ahead and let it install. No virus here!

April 4, 2020 at 6:38 pm #1978NielsKeymasterThanks Eric. But it changes according to the size of the drawing-tool (or erasing-tool) you are using. The circle marks the maximum size and the inner part of the crosshair lines marks the minimum. If you use a mouse, that hasn’t got any pressure sensitivity, I understand why the cursor size feels weird.
If you don’t want the cursor that shows the size, you can toggle to the other type of curser, that remains a dot all the time. Shortcut , (comma).
In reply to: Will there be an Animation Paper alpha/beta/full version for Linux?
April 4, 2020 at 6:32 pm #1977NielsKeymasterWe will be supporting Linux for the finished 5.0 release for sure. That has been the plan all along. And therefore we need to, at some point during alpha stage, jump onto Linux. So yes! But it will be a few months before we get there probably.

April 4, 2020 at 6:28 pm #1976NielsKeymasterSure. A real brush system is first on our list for the next big version (like v6.0 – not alpha). Probably 2021.
Most obvious would be to support the Photoshop brush format, so we could utilise all the great brushes that have been made for Photoshop. However that is not necessarily easy or even possible to do. We will do our best to make it happen though! You see, the challenge is that the Animation Paper line engine is special with its ability to scale without any degradation or blur. That’s not like any other bitmap based engines.

In reply to: Vinyl Eraser Min Size / Rotation Keyboard Shortcuts
April 4, 2020 at 5:10 pm #1961NielsKeymasterThanks! 🙂
The sizes are intentional. Vinyl is just much larger than the pointy rubber eraser. The size is almost the only difference, so I recommend using rubber eraser to erase details and single lines within a drawing – and vinyl eraser for larger parts.
Regarding the shortcuts, I’m not sure I understand you correctly. But be aware that the shortcuts for the direction of the canvas rotation are the numbers on your numpad!

In reply to: Ability to rearrange drawings / add drawings before
April 4, 2020 at 3:48 pm #1951NielsKeymasterThe “add before” is there – and called “insert drawing”.
Use slide mode to slide original drawings around. This is for adjusting local timing without ruining the overall timing of your shot. But you can not slide across/beyond another original.
If you want to move a drawing to a completely other place in the timeline, use cut/paste.

April 4, 2020 at 3:43 pm #1950NielsKeymasterYou can’t. Those are disabled, because they are still to be implemented by us. Paint tools will come in one of the next alpha updates. But this is one of the large features, so it will take a few months before we are ready with that.
