Cher: Oh, sorry! Stupid me. You said you were on Mac πŸ™‚

Could it be as simple as some wrong setting in Wacom settings? It sounds like it is behaving like a mouse. I get this problem my self from time to time (I have a Cintiq and I’m on Mac) – and then I need to turn off and on the Cintiq to make it work again.

Sorry for all the try this and try that. We need to lean what the right solutions are. πŸ™‚ It’s all new to me. πŸ™‚

I understand. I’ll see if can find suitable shortcuts for larger/smaller size and more/less opacity. Great, thanks!

Do you know about holding D and holding E? If you weren’t aware of them, they might help you a little. πŸ™‚

We’re not done Todd! We need to figure this out, so you can get up and running properly.

If your Wacom drivers are up to date, then try to see if Windows Ink is on for Animation Paper?

And Pedro is probably right about WinTab. Let us know if any of it works.

Thank you very much for this – and for your time. Appreciated.

I read with great interest. I’ll make sure to check in on this list while we evolve Animation Paper.

However, I do think that some of your points reflect that you haven’t discovered how Animation Papers line engine really works. You see, it is in fact not “old fashioned bitmap”. It may feel as straight forward as bitmap, but try working in HD or even in very low resolution. Then before you export, you change your resolution to 4K. Everything is updated without blurring or degradation.

The same happens when picking up something with the lasso. Just scale it up and stamp it.

Anyway, many of your points are already planned and will come soon. More advanced features are planned for v6.0. But of course, basically, there will always be lots of differences when you compare creative software. Thankfully. At the end it is all down to the style of the software. What fits it and what does not. Features have to follow a line – be consistent and logical all the way through. I know you agree.

One really important issue for me is to keep Animation Paper simple. I mean uncluttered. This does not mean that it can’t be advanced. Animation Paper is designed for the professional and will have clever approaches and efficient solutions to his/her demands. At the same time, I want it so easy to work with, that nearly anybody can do it. This is how Animation Paper is going to be – and I think this alpha is a very good start. πŸ™‚

I know it’s not exactly the same, but perhaps it would work OK for you to just set the min and max part of the slider real close. This way the pressure sensitivity is practically turned off.

Let me know what you think. Thanks!

You know what Steven? πŸ™‚ I agree, having alternative keys on the left side is important. And that is why Q and W works exactly like 1 and 2 would do in PAP. πŸ™‚ You’re welcome! πŸ™‚

    That’s great Pharan. Thanks.

This is because Animation Paper is not getting the hires coordinates from the pen, but for some reason only gets the lores coordinates like from a mouse. This produces bad quality lines (jagged) – especially visible when drawing slow vertical and horisontal lines as you say.

Where the problem comes from is what we need to find out. Could be so many things.
