Thank you very much for this – and for your time. Appreciated.

I read with great interest. I’ll make sure to check in on this list while we evolve Animation Paper.

However, I do think that some of your points reflect that you haven’t discovered how Animation Papers line engine really works. You see, it is in fact not “old fashioned bitmap”. It may feel as straight forward as bitmap, but try working in HD or even in very low resolution. Then before you export, you change your resolution to 4K. Everything is updated without blurring or degradation.

The same happens when picking up something with the lasso. Just scale it up and stamp it.

Anyway, many of your points are already planned and will come soon. More advanced features are planned for v6.0. But of course, basically, there will always be lots of differences when you compare creative software. Thankfully. At the end it is all down to the style of the software. What fits it and what does not. Features have to follow a line – be consistent and logical all the way through. I know you agree.

One really important issue for me is to keep Animation Paper simple. I mean uncluttered. This does not mean that it can’t be advanced. Animation Paper is designed for the professional and will have clever approaches and efficient solutions to his/her demands. At the same time, I want it so easy to work with, that nearly anybody can do it. This is how Animation Paper is going to be – and I think this alpha is a very good start. 🙂

I know it’s not exactly the same, but perhaps it would work OK for you to just set the min and max part of the slider real close. This way the pressure sensitivity is practically turned off.

Let me know what you think. Thanks!

You know what Steven? 🙂 I agree, having alternative keys on the left side is important. And that is why Q and W works exactly like 1 and 2 would do in PAP. 🙂 You’re welcome! 🙂

Thanks Ann – the link unfortunately doesn’t work. 🙁 I would love to see what you mean.

If you email the image to me niels@ (guess what) I can put it in here. Thanks!

    That’s great Pharan. Thanks.

This is because Animation Paper is not getting the hires coordinates from the pen, but for some reason only gets the lores coordinates like from a mouse. This produces bad quality lines (jagged) – especially visible when drawing slow vertical and horisontal lines as you say.

Where the problem comes from is what we need to find out. Could be so many things.

    Cool!

You just need to go to your Wacom settings. Set up your top or bottom button, to react to shortcut S. Or Shift S for the second SpeedDial. Or why not try D or E, then you can hold your buttons to adjust your drawing and erasing tools.

All very handy to have assigned to your pen buttons. 🙂

    Good luck with it!

Alright. As an alternative to the numpad, you can use < and > to turn the canvas in steps.

… But using it as a “mouse”, sounds like pressure sensitivity will not be on then. Also it could only send screen coordinates, which is far less resolution than if it works like a tablet, resulting in ugly pixelated lines in Animation Paper. Does pressure and fine line resolution work for you? Just making sure. 🙂

Hmmm, OK. Thanks for reporting this. I guess we will need to try it here and see if we can do or change something to make it work. Added to our todo-list! Thank you!

Yeah, I know this behaviour is iffy. It is actually on purpose, – but it isn’t ment to be disorientating, so I have to rethink it. Thank you!

Hi Deif – The only message I see here with a link is the one above from 10 hours ago. Could you try again?

Thanks both of you! Todd, did you try updating your tablet drivers? Often it is about the drivers, when there’s no pressure sensitivity.

Please get back to me (us), to tell if it worked or not. We need to figure this out.
