March 3, 2021 at 11:10 pm #3528NielsKeymasterWow, AP is acting weird for you! Haven’t seen any of this my self and haven’t heard of others having these problems. But something’s wrong. I’m very happy and thankful you are discovering these things – I just have no idea how to find the underlying problems. 🙁
One thing could be fairly easy to investigate though, I hope! And that is your file loading and seen as being modified right away. Does that happen every time you load that file? Please save it (and only experiment with copies) – don’t ever overwrite it. We need it for examination.
Just let me know if it happens again when you load it again. Thanks for all your help!
Best,

March 3, 2021 at 5:06 pm #3526NielsKeymasterThanks, I always try to reply as fast as possible. 🙂
And thanks for checking your RAM specs for me. Doesn’t sound like the problem either. 🙁
Tracing your drawings onto a new layer, and then removing the old layer, should hopefully reduce the file size considerably. Interesting to see if it changes anything with the lagging issue. Looking forward to learn about your results!

March 3, 2021 at 3:49 pm #3523NielsKeymasterThanks for this.
I am not sure what is causing this lagging and crash. 280 frames and only one layer shouldn’t be a problem at all. That your file is 628 mb (quite large actually), tells me something is going on. So for some reason data is piling up. It could be because of lasso use, even though it doesn’t sound like you used it that much.
How much free memory do you have? I mean, if your computer is running low, then it could begin to swap, which could maybe explain the lagging.
I’m just guessing here. You are welcome to (once again) send me your ap-file, so we can examine it. And please get back to me with more specs on you computer, especially how much memory (RAM) you have.
Thanks a lot,

February 27, 2021 at 10:26 pm #3518NielsKeymasterAlright, so it works now? What was the problem?
In reply to: Imported audio gets corrupted in-program
February 23, 2021 at 7:32 pm #3510NielsKeymasterOh, I see. That’s interesting. I would love to have a copy of that specific mp3 of yours then. Then I can test it here and if there’s a problem with Animation Paper we can fix it. And if not, I should be able to help you in some other way. So if it’s not a problem for you, I would be grateful if you could email me the mp3. Thanks a lot!

February 23, 2021 at 6:46 pm #3508NielsKeymasterThanks for mentioning this. My guess is that it is not the actual audio that gets corrupted – I’m thinking it could be some kind of lagging problem. Would you mind saving your scene and sending me the .ap file? Then I can have a look.
You can find my email address in your activation-key email.
Cheers,

February 14, 2021 at 7:20 pm #3499NielsKeymasterThanks a lot Oscar. I’m happy you found your own solution. And maybe it was actually a local file/folder problem and not something in Animation Paper. But let me know if it continues elsewhere with other folders. Thank you!
In reply to: Testing out the software
February 14, 2021 at 7:14 pm #3498NielsKeymasterSounds very good Oscar! Thanks for your nice words – and thanks a lot for sharing your cool doodles!
And yes, Animation Paper was designed for the professional animator, but made simple and quite easy to learn and work with, so hobby animators and even beginners find it user friendly. I’m told. 🙂

February 13, 2021 at 10:18 am #3494NielsKeymasterOK, thanks very much for trying these things and letting me know. The problem is we can’t reproduce the error here. But we’ll find a way to get this corrected.
I will let you know when we have solution for you!
And by the way, in the meantime, you are welcome to send your ap file(s) to me, then I can export them for you and send the png’s back to you. My email is the one you got your activation key from.
Thanks again,

February 11, 2021 at 9:10 am #3491NielsKeymasterFollow up questions:
Do you by any chance export your files directly to MS OneDrive, Google Drive or other kind of cloud based drive? (Not that it should be any problem)
Is it only this one scene of yours having this issue – or is it any scene? Even a completely new scene (one blank frame)? (could you please try it)
Cheers,

February 11, 2021 at 8:29 am #3490NielsKeymasterThanks very much for reporting this. We will investigate and get back to you with advice – hopefully within a few hours from now.
What system are you on – Windows 10?
