In reply to: Variable Pen Pressure?
April 7, 2020 at 2:53 pm #2267NielsKeymasterOK, that must be annoying Cher! 🙁 If it is because of something in Animation Paper I don’t know. We’ll have to keep an eye out for it.

In reply to: Memory warning when using Cut (x) soon after Lasso (l)
April 7, 2020 at 12:10 pm #2259NielsKeymasterOnly once: But did that drawing originate from another drawing put together by many lasso-stamps? That could explain it.
In reply to: Moving all drawings on the sheet
April 7, 2020 at 12:05 pm #2258NielsKeymasterSorry, in this current alpha you can not move multiple drawings (frames) at a time. This is a feature to come soon.
But that doesn’t help you now! So I suggest taking one drawing at a time, but instead of lassoing, you should just hit A (for All). That automatically selects everything in the drawing and clears it from the paper. Then you can move and stamp.

In reply to: Memory warning when using Cut (x) soon after Lasso (l)
April 7, 2020 at 11:45 am #2254NielsKeymasterThe warning you are talking about comes up if picking up with lasso takes more than two seconds (it shouldn’t normally take that long). This only happens if you are stamping lassoed parts into the same drawing numerous times, thus making the data grow substantially for that particular drawing. Everything else will run just fine, it is just that one drawing that risks being slow – and only when doing lassoing even more.
The amount of layers doesn’t make any difference by the way. Only how many “patches” of lassoed parts a drawing consist of. You could always retrace on a new blank drawing if you have this problem.

In reply to: Compatibility with Windows Ink/Bamboo Ink
April 7, 2020 at 9:43 am #2250NielsKeymasterWe have done sort of a crude hack possibility to make it compatible with Windows Ink. But I’m not sure it is preferred, because as far as I know it introduces various side effects. However, why not just try it, right?
Go to the folder where the Animation Paper exe file is located (probably c/programfiles/animationpaper). Find the qt.conf file. Remove it, or better, just rename it, so you can always get it back. Then restart Animation Paper.
Let me know if that helps or not. 🙂
In reply to: Two feature requests
April 7, 2020 at 9:34 am #2249NielsKeymasterThank you for this Mark!
1) Good point, which is already on our todo. So it will be done for one of the next alpha updates. (Two ways of stamping: One as now, and one which keeps the selection)
2) Are you aware that you can mark a drawing as “key” (just hit K when on it) – and then set the lighttable to only show keys. I would guess that this is actually kind of what you are asking. Would that work for you?

April 7, 2020 at 9:27 am #2248NielsKeymasterIf you are not aware: Actually Wacom settings allow you to set the shortcut keys bound to the pen buttons as a per app setting. So you can have the buttons react as certain keys in one app and as other keys in another app.

In reply to: small brushsize> white spots in line
April 7, 2020 at 9:19 am #2246NielsKeymasterHi again Nathan,
So we studied your shots. Very peculiar to us.
We see that the holes in the lines occur ONLY when the line are either horizontal or vertical.
Also we notice that the bold strokes are not continuous along the edge, they are sort of bulgy. That is not normal.
Could you help us with a small test? Do this:
Start with a clean project (New). Draw just one not too long stroke with the problem (hole) in it. You can undo lines until you get a small stroke with the problem in it. Then save and send me the .ap file! (niels at animationpaper.com) We can look at the data structure to see if something gives us a clue. Thank you!

Stephen: Oh, thanks for letting us know. A few others has experienced the same – we are on the case!

April 6, 2020 at 11:02 pm #2234NielsKeymasterThanks a lot for these testshots, Nathan! Very helpful. Something is going on, I see that. But I have never seen this before – weird “pauses” in the line. Very interesting. I will have to show these shots to Frederik (programmer). Cool! Thanks again!
