I see. My style for Animation Paper is to try to not have all sorts of numbers and stuff making it technical looking and cluttered. Animation Paper is sort of “analogue” in nature.

But I do get why you would want to hit the same setting – and in general I shouldn’t omit stuff that is important to people. Will consider how to include this without it being too intrusive.

    Thanks!

This is actually a planned feature. It will come in one of the next alpha updates. But thanks for mentioning it!

It’s a planned/coming feature. But thanks for reminding me of its importance – both of you!

You are right – it’s a coming soon feature. 🙂

But it doesn’t hurt to learn the shortcuts as they are default. They are really quite cleverly laid out! I did them. Haha 😀

Thanks for this! Did you check Hue Shift is on?

Note: Hue Shift only works on colored lines. If you are drawing in black – you don’t get Hue Shift. Try changing your layer color to blue.

Just to explain: I consider the “empty frame” to be still not existing. It’s only when you begin to draw in it that it pops into existence and goes white. Alternatively you can use Ctrl (PC) or Cmd (Mac) + Down arrow to make a real new frame (drawing). Then it is white right away. I didn’t consider that you would use the zoom/rotate/move tool on the empty frame. I do hear what you are saying though. It could easily be more visible. Noted! Thanks!

Oh. We had this issue before, but thought we fixed it.

Can you tell me this – was it offset from the start or did it happen suddenly while using Animation Paper? If it happened while using, do you remember if doing something specific caused it? Maybe you can try again. Very much appreciated.

Thanks for this. Sorry you can’t make it work now.

But super important info from you! We will fix for next release.

Thanks a lot for your time and for the video!

Actually this is correct behaviour! It is on purpose that the longest layer does not have the button, because basically it does not technically make sense to be able to change what is beyond the last frame. Since the scene ends at that point anyway.

However! I must admit reading your post, that this might be confusing. Maybe it is better to have the button to avoid this seemingly weird behaviour. Also when the layer is not the longest anymore, you could have set the button beforehand if it existed.

On the todolist for careful consideration! Thank you!

Yeah, I was going to say the same. It toggles between two kinds of cursors. Did that help at all?

The crosshair cursor is transparent on purpose, because some people doesn’t like the cursor to be too obvious/distracting when drawing. But maybe we took it too far? Let me know if you think it should be less transparent.

I follow you completely. Actually this was how it worked in our first instances of the software. But people convinced me to split it up as it is now. Boo! Bad people! 😀

But I see no reason why both shouldn’t just work, as it is a central feature and you use it all the time. Putting it on hold-spacebar is great I agree. Added to our todo! Thank you! Next release. Done. 🙂
