There was a bug in Alpha 1 in the exporting of Simple Unbroken Sequence. Maybe you tried it with Alpha 1? With Alpha 2 we fixed that bug and this is probably, I’m guessing, why it works for you now.

Great. Nice to see it this way. Thanks.

Our system takes into account when you are doing sharp angles. With most “normal” stabilising it gets smooth yes, but it also takes away details. Our works in a clever way for both at the same time. 😉

I am happy that you can always add LN on top if you like that – and that it seem to work perfectly. Cool. Thanks.

We might add some kind of user settings to our system in a future update. We’ll see what happens. 🙂

Thanks for letting me know Tamas! We are looking into this.

Touch gestures is on our todo-list as well.

    Thanks for this Goran!

The vinyl eraser is for broad stuff and can not be small on purpose. Use the rubber eraser – that is for detail work and can get tiny.

The problems with your line definitely sounds like Animation Paper doesn’t recognise your drawing screen and therefore it is used like a mouse, with low resolution and no pressure. Not optimal at all. Others have the same problems. This is something we must fix. We are looking into it.

Files sizes are not large with Animation Paper either – but I’m sure you are right about similar animation will be smaller for Clip Studio Paint and Krita. One thing is the lasso problem. That does make the sizes very large quickly. But even with out this, sizes will tend to be slightly larger. This is because of the advantages Animation Paper has regarding the line being fully scaleable without any degradation or blurring at all. Also coloring (when that is done) will be much more precise and without any antialiasing artefacts as you sometimes see in other software. In Animation Paper you can also work in a smaller resolution and then change to a higher resolution before exporting – and the result will be super crisp!

Regarding your last comments: All of it is on our todo-list. We are working on doing and improving. I am happy that you like Animation Paper already – and it is getting better! 🙂

Yes, this happens when you lasso and stamp numerous times in the same drawing. Everything else, including lassoing in other drawings, works at full speed. You get the warning when it takes 2 seconds to pick up a lasso selection. This is already bad. If you continue lassoing in the same drawing it just get worse.

Best to try not to lasso extensively in the same drawing (and don’t make copies of that “bad” drawing). To reset such a drawing, you can do a new blank and trace it using the light table. And then just delete the “bad” drawing.

Everything else works at full speed, it’s just the overly lassoed drawing (when picking up or stamping or undoing the pick up or stamping) and possible copies of it.

As you probably have noticed you have a few various options when exporting. You need to find the right one for you and the program you want to import it into.

The most basic straight forward way of exporting, that all software that imports a sequence of images can import is “Simple Unbroken Sequence”.

We want to make it touch screen compatible for sure. Apparently we haven’t succeeded yet 🙂 We are working on it.

Oh, wow! Thanks a lot for this Alexander. This might be a clue to us so we can fix it internally in Animation Paper too! Thank you!!

I understand. Yes, with any function and shortcut, there’s always the risk that hitting it by accident will make the software do something that is not clear to you.

But I guess, it will help, as you say, that keys you have a habit of hitting unintentionally can be disabled (when we get that functionality done).

By the way, I am happy you found out what happened after all. I hope it is a matter of getting used to – at least for now.

    Hi there. Thanks for this.

Right now you can shift click multiple drawings in the x-sheet. Click the first, then shift click the last. The sequence of drawings are now inverted to highlight. Now you can clear them all or copy/paste them elsewhere in your x-sheet.

But also we have features coming up soon in following alphas. This is doing things in multiple drawings using a (lassoed) selection. And right clicking inside the x-sheet to get options is coming soon too.

We already do have a clever way of stabilising the lines when drawing. It’s not too intrusive but works very well. Also respects hard angles even though is makes curves much smoother. This is enabled and working now for all drawing. You might have noticed it subconsciously.

Of course adding Lazy Nazumi, will alter the way AP works, so I’m not sure how it feels to draw in AP then. The point was that is wasn’t necessary. But always up to what you are used to of course.

OK, I see what you mean. It’s about your immediate control over the lines your are drawing. So getting rid of the AA as an easy post process wouldn’t work even though it would have the exact same look.

I’ll see what it takes to do. Maybe we could do an option switch when launching Animation Paper or something to keep it hidden for the regular user. I’m not promising anything at this point though 🙂

Sure. For both of your points the solution will be to just ged rid or add the appropriate icon to your interface. When this becomes available in one of the following alpha updates. Thanks.

Those labels are regular “tool tips”. They are supposed to only show if you keep your pointer still on top of an icon for a few seconds. So it seems to me to work as intended. It’s easier to hold it completely still using the mouse.

Yes, Cher is right. Changing the position of the X-Sheet to the opposite side, swaps the Tool Bar as well. It’s always opposite the X-sheet.
